A place for all kinds of food, crafts and general nerdery
Hi guys, hope you had a good holiday and are all safe and well.
A little while back I talked about a desire to be an event planner and gave you a moodboard I had prepared for a Garden Themed Wedding. Well, I had collected way too much stuff on my pinterest boards so I thought I would share another one with you. This time, it’s my moodboard for a winter themed wedding. I figured it would be in keeping with the time of year 🙂
If using a short sleeved, or off the shoulder neckline, a fur bolero like this would be the perfect wrap for arriving at the venue and outside photographs.
I love this fresh make up look. Understated but so effective. It has the rosy blush on the cheeks that is reminiscent of coming in out of the cold on a winter’s day that really ties the whole thing together.
Candles with cinnamon sticks create picturesque, warming and fragrant centre pieces.
A gorgeous mix of plum and white flowers for the bridal bouquet, with some sparkly brooches thrown in for a “glistening” touch.
A hot chocolate bar to warm your guests up during the photos
A simple yet classic and elegant winter’s cake.
A classic purple full length dress to match the colour hues in the bride’s bouquet.
A rustic and wintery bouquet for the bridesmaids. I also adore the fur shrug in this picture.
Breaking out of the current tradition of greys and blacks at weddings, and going for a more rustic and “English Countryside” feel for the Groom and groomsmen. In keeping with the use of pine cones and cinnamon in the other aspects.
A simple and yet effective boutonniere. Potentially replacing the diamantes with a plum ribbon instead.
Hope you liked it 🙂
Let me know if there are any other themes you would like to see.
Merry xmas, happy new year and best wishes 🙂
