Winter Themed Wedding Moodboard

Hi guys, hope you had a good holiday and are all safe and well.

A little while back I talked about a desire to be an event planner and gave you a moodboard I had prepared for a Garden Themed Wedding. Well, I had collected way too much stuff on my pinterest boards so I thought I would share another one with you. This time, it’s my moodboard for a winter themed wedding. I figured it would be in keeping with the time of year 🙂

I love this dress. It has long lace sleeves and the lone pleat across the body creates an interesting silhouette. It lends to a rather regal look and creates an almost “Snow-Queen” feel.

If using a short sleeved, or off the shoulder neckline, a fur bolero like this would be the perfect wrap for arriving at the venue and outside photographs.

I love this fresh make up look. Understated but so effective. It has the rosy blush on the cheeks that is reminiscent of coming in out of the cold on a winter’s day that really ties the whole thing together.

Candles with cinnamon sticks create picturesque, warming and fragrant centre pieces.

Jane Fields bouquets 082

A gorgeous mix of plum and white flowers for the bridal bouquet, with some sparkly brooches thrown in for a “glistening” touch.

A hot chocolate bar to warm your guests up during the photos

A simple yet classic and elegant winter’s cake.

A classic purple full length dress to match the colour hues in the bride’s bouquet.

A rustic and wintery bouquet for the bridesmaids. I also adore the fur shrug in this picture.

Breaking out of the current tradition of greys and blacks at weddings, and going for a more rustic and “English Countryside” feel for the Groom and groomsmen. In keeping with the use of pine cones and cinnamon in the other aspects.

A simple and yet effective boutonniere. Potentially replacing the diamantes with a plum ribbon instead.

Wooden heart ornaments in colours from the colour scheme with the wedding date on the back. Perfect for favours.

Hope you liked it 🙂

Let me know if there are any other themes you would like to see.

Merry xmas, happy new year and best wishes 🙂

Nys x

This would make a stunning wedding.

Yeah…how about, hmm…a casual wedding, maybe in say, March, with a purple colour scheme, stars, and a bit of geekery thrown in. 😉 X

How about a fall themed one for the mountains with the changing leaves?

That would be awesome….would love to see some type of gown that is for someone over 30… hard to find something that isn’t matronly or just the opposite.
