A place for all kinds of food, crafts and general nerdery
I am taking a day to myself after a rather stressful week. Having had to have an emergency trip to the dentist on Tuesday, and still feeling worse for wear today, I thought a relaxed day without work or coursework would be quite nice. Ended up watching Dollhouse and planning a Harry Potter Party Board.
Since it was something a bit different from a wedding moodboard, and could be adaptable for both kids and big kids (you know you are still waiting for your Hogwarts letter, admit it :p), I thought I would share it with you.
Hope you like it 🙂
Start the party with a photography chance to get people in their costumes before they’ve lost half of it
Have you seen this Wizard?
Potions in test tubes. Perfect for Potion shots. Polyjuice potion, Wolfsbane, truth serum etc.
Pretzel and cheese broomstick snacks.
A Harry Potter spell book cake.
A Howler centrepiece
Make the guests jump with a Moaning Myrtle on the toilet seat 🙂
A variety of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade treats including acid pop lollys, pumpkin pasties and crystalised pineapples.
A trail of spiders out of the bathroom with Moaning Myrtle in.
Planting footprints and character names around the location, turning the venue into a Marauders Map.
No matter how old you are, gift bags complete the event perfectly. Especially printed with a Honeydukes sign.
Following labels could be used for jar for decoration or as names for the pick and mix for the gift bags.
The Weasley’s flying car and the whomping willow make fantastic decorations
And don’t forget the entrance to the world of Hogwarts is through platform 9 3/4 🙂
Hope you like this 🙂 let me know if there are any other events (birthdays, anniversaries or weddings etc) that you’d like me to attempt.
Cheers for now,
